Samadhi
August 2026
Definition: In Buddhism, Samadhi is the last step of the Noble Eightfold Path, Right Concentration, which guides users toward enlightenment.
MY Definition: My best friend in the whole wide world, who I captured in oil paint (16″ by 20″ canvas). Her beauty, vibrancy, and wide smile radiate a sense of calming joy and peace in this earth-toned painting. 🙂
The Legacy of Larry
December 2025
I was able to finish this oil painting just six months before my grandpa, Larry, passed away. He was able to look at it every day!
Pictured in this 16″ by 20″ oil painting is Larry’s 62nd birthday celebration. I am in the green dress, hugging my grandpa, younger cousin Trinity, and brother Jacob (who is focused only on the pineapple upside down cake). My older brother Nick poses joyfully in the background.
We love you grandpa!

This 16″ by 20″ acrylic painting shows my beautiful mother as a teenager near her home in Cincinnati. The old cars, lush grass and trees, porch light turned on, and earthy tones give a nostalgic feeling to this summertime painting. My mother’s orange hair, freckles, and the fact that she was care-free and caught in motion, make her the perfect subject for this portrait!

Samadhi (In Hell)
February 2026
In this 16″ by 20″ acrylic painting, I transformed a happy photo of Samadhi into one filled with agony, anger… maybe fear?
Being enthusiasts of Dante’s Inferno (and Hozier’s third studio album Unreal Unearth which is structured based on Dante’s decided layers of Hell), Samadhi and I have decided that this painting is set in the sixth circle of Hell, for the punishment of Heresy. Here, the heretics are trapped in tombs filled with eternal fire!
Lady Day
March 2021
This 12″ by 12″ acrylic painting on canvas features the one and only Billie Holiday!
Not only did she create beautiful jazz, but she also was the first African American woman to lead an all-white band, was a four-time Grammy winner, and her song Strange Fruit was one of the first songs used for protest in the Civil Rights Movement!

To The End
February 2026
This 16″ by 20″ acrylic painting is inspired by Hozier’s song “Francesca”, which tells the story of Francesca and Paolo from Dante’s Divine Comedy. Francesca was arranged to marry Paolo’s brother but falls for Paolo instead. Their love affair gets them murdered and sent to the second layer of Hell, for Lust. Although Dante see’s their affair as a mistake of passion, Hozier romanticizes the situation, emphasizing that the lovers would go through Hell all over again if meant they could be together.

Dahlias & Friends
August 2026
This 12″ by 12″ acrylic painting on canvas features an assortment of wildflowers, highlighting pink, red, orange, and white Dahlias!

Rooted In The Stars
June 2025
This was my first oil painting! 12″ by 12″ oil on canvas. I spent hours selecting and photographing the “perfect” peony to paint a still-life of. It took weeks and lots of reality TV!
This painting was when I really started to understand color theory. It’s remarkable how many colors you can use to paint a white flower!

Can I Call You Rose?
January 2021
This 16″ by 20″ acrylic painting on canvas was the first time I ever painted a flower! This was also the first time I ever used a grid to sketch out a painting. I sketched a grid with pencil and used it to map out where each petal would go. Coming from an engineering background, this trick definitely stuck around! The only colors used here were black, white, and red! It’s lovely to see how far I have come from this painting in terms of color usage.
For Ama
March 2024
After the passing of a woman who I loved dearly, I painted these roses for her family. During her funeral, each friend or family member took a rose from her casket before it was placed in the ground. This is a collection of her family and I’s roses.
5″ by 7″ acrylic on paper.

Plants

Nerve
February 2022
This Fittonia albivenus “White Anne” (Nerve plant) is painted on a 16″ by 20″ canvas, using acrylic paint.
This has easily become one of my favorite paintings, although it is relatively old now. It’s balanced, has a simple color palette, and would easily fit into any plant lover’s home!
The reference photo for this painting was taken at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx!
Bright & Bold Bathroom Begonias
September 2026
This Begonia maculata (Polka Dot Begonia) was created with colored pencil on 8.5″ by 11″ paper. I get many questions about the coloring here. No, the plant itself isn’t rainbow, sadly. I took some creative liberty in adding all the color!
As the title implies, the reference photo for this drawing was taken in my vintage pink bathroom. This has since become the spot for all of my begonia cuttings!

Beyond the Stained Glass
September 2023
This 12″ by 12″ acrylic painting on canvas captures a number of houseplants, breaking out of a stained-glass window! Pictured are:
- Epipremnum aureum (Half Moon Pothos) – wrapped around frame
- Dieffenbachia (Dumb Cane) – bottom left
- Peace Lily blooms – center
- Spider Plant – bottom right
- Dracaena marginata (Dragon Tree) – top left
- Dracaena fragrans (Corn Plant) – top right

Roscoe
September 2026
This 10″ by 10″ acrylic on framed canvas painting is a memorial for the beloved Roscoe.
Gregory
January 2021
This 5″ by 8″ pen drawing of Gregory the bearded dragon is made of thousands of little dots! This was my first time trying the stippling technique.

Teddy
March 2021
This 16″ by 20″ acrylic painting on canvas was my very first commission! Shoutout Teddy.
Melvin
July 2019
This 12″ by 36″ acrylic painting on canvas was my grandpa Larry’s personal favorite (despite the portrait I made of him and all his grandkids). This was definitely inspired by something I saw on Pinterest the summer after I graduated high school!

Susie
March 2019
Susie was painted in a few hours in my childhood bedroom at a sleepover with Samadhi. Acrylic on canvas.
Petunia the Perfect Panda
July 2019
Petunia (3′ by 4′ acrylic on canvas) was my first multi-day painting!

Nautilus Shell
May 2021
I learned about the Fibonacci sequence, or the “Golden Ratio,” which appears in nature, in my math courses in college. Some flowers’ petals, the center of sunflowers, pinecones, trees, etc. grow in patterns that resemble the Fibonacci sequence. Nautilus shells appear very similar to the spiral seen representing the Fibonacci sequence, thus I had to draw one!
This was drawn with pen on 8.5″ by 11″ paper, using the stippling method.
Architecture & Landscapes

By the Water’s Edge
September 2026
This 48″ by 60″ acrylic painting on canvas was created with no brushes – only a single palette knife. My first commissioned abstract painting, this was both a challenge and a workout! Reaching from one end to the other of a painting that is 6 feet wide will get your shoulders burning after a while! Despite this, it was incredibly fun to make. I love the artistic freedom that comes with abstract work.
Frank Lloyd Wright Featuring Tree
February 2025
This 16″ by 20″ acrylic painting on canvas was a gift to my mother, who is a huge fan of architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
We visited Wright’s home and studio in Oak Park, outside of Chicago. Our favorite part was the window seating, where Wright’s kids could play alongside the canopy of trees just outside the window. I’d like to imagine his kids would have had more fun if there was a tree within the room!

Fallingwater in the Fall
September 2026
Sticking with Frank Lloyd Wright as a muse, I painted his iconic Fallingwater home. Watercolor and pen on 8.5″ by 11″ paper.
This home, about an hour and a half southeast of Pittsburg, was built over top of a waterfall! Wright’s goal was to blend his architecture with the nature around it.
