Hello, it’s very nice to meet you!
My name is Julia Finley. I am a life-long creator and recently started this business to share my art with the world around me.
First and foremost, I am a lover of life and all its vibrancy.
I am a HUGE plant and nature lover. I have over 75 house plants currently and find so much joy in taking care of and watching my babies grow. I also love to hike and camp! I strive to protect and celebrate the earth we live on. This is absolutely reflected in my artistic pursuits.

A huge part of my artistic inspiration comes from music!
I love when my paintings have a theme song. I cannot count the amount of hours I have spent waiting in the pit line to see my favorite musicians! Hozier, Caamp, Houndmouth, Mt. Joy, The Lumineers, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Gregory Alan Isakov, Dr. Dog, and Lizzy McAlpine are at the top of my list!
I am a firm believer that who you are is shaped by who you surround yourself with.
My family is the most important thing in my life, followed by my lovely friends! Without them, I would not be the woman I am today.

I was an engineer!
The majority of my life, I have worked toward a career in engineering. I studied at the University of Michigan, where I earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering. I worked as an automation engineer from 2023-2026.
I’ve had a bumpy ride!
From 2016-present, I have been battling a handful of chronic illnesses. I’ve been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Migraines, PCOS, Depression, and Anxiety. Art has become an extremely important therapeutic outlet for managing my pain!

I started my art journey in 2015, at 13.
Starting with a #2 pencil, I drew eyes and portraits of my favorite celebrities (not pictured, to protect my own ego). I followed YouTube tutorials to teach myself!
The pandemic gave me the time to find and practice my favorite medium… painting!
I started with acrylic. I painted primarily animals, plants/flowers, landscapes (thanks to Bob Ross tutorials) and women (focusing on the beauty and strength of the female body). These themes are still very prevalent in my work today!

I still love to practice other mediums!
Aside from painting with acrylic, oil, and watercolor, crocheting is my second great love! Then comes drawing with pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, oil pastels, etc. I had a huge embroidery and cross-stitching phase. I knit once in a blue moon. I think pottery will be next!
By supporting me, you are supporting what I believe in!
I am a bisexual, biracial, chronically ill, non-religious woman, who believes in equity amongst all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender expression, ability/disability, religion, race, socioeconomic status, age, size, et cetera!!!!
